From France to Newburyport

Alison was raised by two French chefs, in a home where cooking and baking were simply part of everyday life—where time was spent around the kitchen, and care was shown through what was made and shared. That early foundation led her through years of travel and work in hospitality, before eventually bringing her to Newburyport. 

There, she took over a local café and slowly reimagined it as Plume—a place shaped by her roots and her way of doing things: simple food, made with care, in a space that feels warm, familiar, and easy to come back to.

Today, Plume is guided by that same spirit. The focus is on quality ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and creating a space that feels easy to settle into—whether it’s your first visit or part of your daily routine.
